The Cow Creek Health & Wellness Center (CCH&WC), operated by the Cow Creek Band of The Umpqua Tribe of Indians, is excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our committed team of healthcare professionals. This full‑time, on‑site position offers a unique chance to make a significant impact in the lives of our community members, providing comprehensive psychiatric care and support within our well‑resourced facility located in Southern Oregon. Note that this is not a remote job and requires the practitioner to be based at our healthcare center. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for individuals diagnosed with mental health disorders.
  • Prescribe and monitor medication regimens to manage psychiatric symptoms, following evidence‑based practices.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to help patients cope with and overcome mental health challenges.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care for patients.
  • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and strategies for managing symptoms.
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
  • Current certification as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
  • Valid state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in psychiatric/mental health settings.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment modalities.
  • Proficiency in prescribing and managing psychiatric medications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build relationships with patients and their families.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making abilities, to provide safe and effective care.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
