Job summary

Carolina Psychiatry in Anderson, South Carolina, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PMHNP or PA-C) to join our outpatient behavioral health team. The APP will perform psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment in a collaborative, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program.

• Current or eligible DEA registration, as required for the position.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of behavioral health conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s clinical needs.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications within the provider’s scope of practice.
• Monitor patient progress, medication effectiveness, and potential side effects.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other members of the treatment team.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and community resources when appropriate.
• Follow all clinical, ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards.
