Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator/Registered Nurse, Institutional at Harris Hospital in Anderson, SC to lead nursing education and ensure high-quality patient care. You will oversee orientation, ongoing education, and competency development across three shifts.

The role requires a BSN, SC RN licensure, and two years of psychiatric nursing experience, with strong teaching and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a BSN and two years of RN nursing experience, including psychiatric care.
• Ability to train and supervise subordinate personnel.
• Must be able to teach and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation for nursing employees and clinical experiences for nursing students.
• Update education materials to reflect policies and best practices.
• Deliver mandatory training including CPR and Mandt instruction.
• Develop ongoing nursing education and activities for all shifts and consult on job performance.
• Participate in PI activities and evaluate patient care quality and nursing practice outcomes.
• Provide direct patient care in emergencies as assigned and collaborate with the treatment team.
• Maintain SCEIS data entry for training records.
