Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital, Anderson, SC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator/Registered Nurse, Institutional.

You will develop and deliver clinical training, onboarding, and competency-based education for nursing staff across three shifts. The role demands expertise in adult psychiatric care, strong teaching abilities, and the capacity to supervise preceptors and orient new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and related nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide orientation for nursing employees and facilitate the clinical experience for nursing students.
• Assist in providing mandatory training and certification including CPR and Mandt.
• Develop and conduct ongoing nursing education for all shifts.
• Coordinate Performance Improvement activities and evaluate patient care quality.
• Provide direct patient care in emergencies and support treatment planning.
• Maintain SCEIS data entry for employee training.
• Maintain instructor status in CPR and other courses.
