New York State Office of Mental Health (Capital District Psychiatric Center) seeks a Registered Nurse 3 Psychiatric Educator to plan, design, and develop training curriculum for nursing staff. The role includes on-the-job training, clinical supervision, and collaboration with management to ensure up-to-date staff competencies.
The position requires NYS RN license, a bachelor’s in nursing, and 2 years post-licensure experience with a focus on mental health.
Qualifications
- Licensed and currently registered as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- 2 years of post-licensure nursing experience; at least 50% with mental illness, addiction, or substance use disorder.
- 1 year must have been professional nurse educator experience.
Responsabilités
- Plan, design, and develop orientation and training curriculum for nursing staff.
- Provide on the job training.
- Clinically supervise staff in the provision of nursing services.
- Evaluate training needs and modify programs to ensure effective service delivery.
- Collaborate with nursing management and multidisciplinary treatment teams to develop and revise policies and procedures and ensure staff competencies are current and in compliance with nursing standards.
