Job summary

Oceans Behavioral Hospital Lake Charles is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to patients with anxiety and mood disorders in a psychiatric unit. Under RN supervision, you will implement the multidisciplinary treatment plan and coordinate with the team.

Active LVN/LPN license, High School Diploma or GED, and ideally one year of inpatient hospital experience are required. CPR certification and de-escalation training are required.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN/LPN license in the state of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing care to assigned patients under RN supervision.
• Documents findings in patient records and communicates outcomes.
• Implements planned nursing interventions with other providers.
• Performs bedside tests, wound care, and assists with ADLs.
• Promotes coping and adaptation for patients and families.
• Administers medications safely per orders and documents dosages.
