Job summary

Glendora Hospital is seeking a Full Time Intake RN to join our team. The Intake RN will perform assessments, referrals and admissions with a focus on timely responses to patient needs and appropriate level of care.

The role requires current California RN license and BLS certification; CPI training must be completed within 30 days of hire. Psychiatric experience is preferred to support diverse patient populations at Glendora Hospital.

Qualifications

• Current, valid State of California R.N. license.
• Experience with contacting and interacting with insurance providers from private to medi-care and medi-cal.
• Psychiatric experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to assess the age specific needs of all patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, refer and admit patients; respond promptly to patient and referral needs; provide clinical assessment and ensure appropriate risk assessment and crisis interventions.
• Promote patient care consistent with Glendora Hospital’s philosophy and objectives.
• Coordinate with insurance providers as part of intake and referral processes; ensure smooth transition to appropriate level of care.
