Job summary

The McLean Hospital Corporation in collaboration with Mass General Brigham seeks a part-time Registered Nurse to provide immediate and ongoing patient care on the NB2 inpatient unit of the psychotic division. You will deliver care using the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support recovery goals.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, planning and documenting care, administering medications safely, and contributing to patient and family education.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Requires demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to utilize the nursing process and to work collaboratively.
• MR safety certification.
• Standard blood draw procedures (excluding IV placement).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• All employees must possess basic computer skills to use electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assesses patients' needs using multiple data sources.
• Plan nursing interventions and modify the Nursing Plan of Care as needed.
• Communicate findings to the healthcare team and families to support recovery goals.
• Demonstrates safe, accurate and timely medication administration.
• Participates in training and education of staff and ensures patient privacy.
