Job summary

The McLean Hospital Corporation, part of Mass General Brigham, is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Bipolar & Psychotic Inpatient Unit (AB2) on-site at 115 Mill Street. The role uses the nursing process to meet immediate and long-term patient care needs in a high-acuity inpatient setting.

You will lead nursing interventions, de-escalate crises, participate in treatment planning, educate patients and families, and document care per standards.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license for Massachusetts.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience in medical/psychiatric settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs using the nursing process.
• Utilize data sources to identify health problems and functional status.
• Plan and prioritize nursing interventions within approved care plans.
• Administer medications safely using BMV scanning.
• Communicate findings to the healthcare team promptly.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary treatment planning.
