Job summary

The Pavilion at McLean Hospital, part of Mass General Brigham, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide immediate and ongoing nursing care under standard protocols. You will support planning, assessment, and collaborative patient care in a fast-paced psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities include medication administration, nursing documentation, and educational support for patients and families, with emphasis on safety, teamwork, and recovery-oriented care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• MR safety certification.
• Basic computer skills.
• Work well in a team.
• No experience required; one year medical/psychiatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs using the nursing process.
• Plan nursing interventions and individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams.
• Administer medications with BMV scanning.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Lead patient groups and assist in crisis de-escalation.
• Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.
