Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is seeking a Nurse Technician for the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit 6North on a full-time day shift (7:30AM-4PM). You will provide bedside care under the supervision of a registered nurse, helping to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and supporting patient and family care.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician or related program, and a current BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year experience as Nurse Technician, Patient Care Technician or Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program with documentation of completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and support the inpatient psychiatric unit team.
