Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist is hiring a Nurse Technician for the Med/Surg unit. This part-time evening position (3:30 PM–midnight) requires 5 shifts biweekly and will be based on-site in Brooklyn, NY.

Under RN supervision, you will assist with patient care, maintain a safe environment, and help keep the unit running smoothly. A high school diploma, completion of a Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician program (or equivalent), and BCLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Technician/Patient Care Technician Program or Nursing Assistant, EKG, and Phlebotomy Program or Medical Assistant Program, with documentation.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and assist in patient care.
• Support the healthcare team to ensure smooth operation of the Med/Surg unit.
