Job description

What you’ll do at OhioMHAS:

• Coordinate and supervise activities of Nursing personnel
• Delegate admission of new patients
• Ensure high quality patient care
• Implement nursing process and monitor effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with ANA, The Joint Commission (TJC), and HCFA standards
• Complete performance evaluations
• Collect data, monitor trends, patient progress, identify goals, and patient outcomes
• Review unit reports, identify safety concerns, and resolve issues
• Coordinate daily assignments of staff to ensure adequate coverage
• Attend intra and interdepartmental meetings, conferences, and task forces
• Develop policies and procedures

This is an hourly position and is exempt from the bargaining units, with a pay range of #15 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule. Normal working hours are 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm (Rotating Weekends & Holidays, Flexible based on operational need).

Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Additional Salary / Appointment Information:

Longevity supplement after 5 years of service.

Requires current license as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio as issued by the Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of the Revised Code; 24 months of experience in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities; 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in employee training & development; 3 courses or 9 months of experience in public relations; 3 courses or 9 months of experience in counseling.

- Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.
