Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an acute psychiatric facility.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes patient care based on physical, psychiatric, and psychosocial assessment.
• Responds to requests for PET evaluations with initial contact, confirms location and needs, and provides ETA for evaluation.
• Provides support and assistance in problem resolution
• Assess mental status of patients
• Assess potential for grave disability
• Determine suicidal or homicidal potential and level of care
• Coordinate provision of needed service
• Utilize community resources for support services for the mentally ill
• Document probable cause of mental disorder on 5150 form
• Consult with Psychiatrist regarding disposition as needed
• Maintain open communication with Intake staff throughout the evaluation process
