Job summary

Devereux/TCV Community Services is seeking a Part-Time Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) Psychiatric Counselor in Homestead, PA. The role focuses on supporting adults with behavioral health needs in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social/human services, or related field (required).
• Prior experience working in social services with adults with behavioral health disorders (highly preferred).
• 18 years of age or older (required).
• Valid driver's license (Preferred).
• Agree to PA state criminal history, child abuse record and FBI Clearance.
• Agree to a pre-employment drug screening, one-step TB and physical.

Responsibilities

• Encourage individuals to meet their recovery goals and participate in treatment and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor individuals’ physical and emotional well-being; use de-escalation and emergency techniques when necessary.
• Develop and teach strategies to promote wellness and independence.
• Collaborate with the treatment team including psychiatrist, therapist, nurses and service coordinators.

Pay Range: Up to $25/hour, based on education and related experience

Schedule: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 4p-12am
