Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking a part-time Charge Nurse (RN) in Psychiatric to direct patient care during shifts for adult and geriatric patients. This role reports to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services and involves assessment, planning, intervention, and documentation of treatment plans, along with family counseling and education.

Follows nursing standards of care and supervises LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA and other nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience.
• One year working with geriatric population.
• Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care activities during shift.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate and document treatment plans.
• Counsel and educate patients' families.
• Supervise nursing staff (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.).
