Job summary

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification within 5 weeks of hire.
• Knowledge of universal precautions.
• Positive service-oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care for the patient on the unit.
• Understanding growth and development across the life span.
• Ability to assess data reflecting patient status and needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates total nursing care for patients.
• Participates in inpatient and family teaching.

• Oversees LPNs, aides, orderlies, and secretaries to ensure quality care.
