Job summary

Meridian Behavioral Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning for individuals with behavioral health conditions and MAT services for Opioid Use Disorder and Alcohol Use Disorder.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current Florida APRN licensure required.
• Experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), including Buprenorphine, Methadone, or Vivitrol (Naltrexone) preferred.
• Experience with substance use disorders, behavioral health, or community-based treatment settings preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric, medical, and substance use disorder evaluations to guide treatment.
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans for recovery and wellness goals.
• Prescribe, administer, and manage psychiatric and MAT medications.
• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment options, recovery strategies, and relapse prevention.
• Order diagnostics, ancillary services, and referrals as clinically indicated.
• Utilize telehealth technologies to provide accessible care when appropriate.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, case managers, and others for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation.
• Participate in developing and maintaining clinical protocols per Florida APRN regulations.
• Support infection prevention, quality improvement, and patient safety standards.
• Build relationships with community partners to enhance patient care.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development.
• Meet departmental productivity and documentation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support objectives.
