Job summary

Riverside Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services Complex in Hampton, VA. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients and supervise non-professional staff to ensure optimum care.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, maintain documentation, and respond to emergencies, prioritizing patient safety and throughput in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
• Experience: 1 year related experience (Preferred).
• Licenses/Certifications: CPR/BLS and First Aid within 30 days (Required).

Responsibilities

• Delegate and prioritize tasks to deliver quality patient care.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment and comply with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Complete required clinical documentation per RHS standards.

Hampton, VirginiaHiring Range$20.40 - $26.55/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.OverviewWorks under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the total nursing care of assigned patients. The RN may work in a variety of settings in the Emergency Services Complex and roles within Riverside Health System. The RN utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial and cultural diversity. Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age related needs of the specific patient populations served in the Emergency Services units/departments. Works under the direction of leadership and a multi-disciplinary team to provide a comprehensive range of services or clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence established by Riverside Health system and facility goals and strategic plans.What you will doAbility to delegate and prioritize tasks to facilitate quality patient care and ensure all patient care needs are met.
