Job summary

Havenwyck Hospital, a UHS facility in Auburn Hills, Michigan, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide psychiatric nursing care for children, adolescents and adults. The role uses the nursing process to assess needs, diagnose outcomes and implement plans while monitoring medications and ensuring safety in a milieu setting.

This temporary assignment runs for up to six months, requiring 3–12 hour shifts from 7p to 7:30a and includes every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current and valid RN license in Michigan.
• One year of nursing experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
• Current certification in BLS/CPR preferred.
• Internal transfers require good standing.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and implementation of department standards and procedures.
• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide and evaluate patient care with written assessments and care plans.
• Develops measurable goals on treatment plans with the team and patient.
• Updates and reviews treatment plans based on patient needs and evaluations.
