Forest View Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Psych RN Nights Supervisor to provide leadership for a psychiatric unit and deliver nursing care for adolescents and adults. This 36-hour weekly, 12-hour shift role emphasizes applying the nursing process, coordinating admissions and discharges, and guiding staff in crisis management.

The ideal candidate will have RN licensure in Michigan, coursework in psychiatric nursing, and CPR/HWC certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
• CPR/HWC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for nursing staff for the shift.
• Triages admissions and coordinates discharges and admissions with ARC Department.
• Provides leadership in emergencies for the units.
• Oversees staffing for current shift and next shift.
• Utilizes the nursing process to develop initial treatment plans for admitted patients.
• Assesses and plans care for patients with co-occurring disorders.
• Maintains professional standards of care and adheres to infection control policies.
• Participates in discharge planning and crisis management.

Education

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan

CPR/HWC certification preferred
