Forest View Hospital, located just seven miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a private psychiatric facility serving children, adolescents, and adults. We are seeking a qualified Psych RN for the weekend nights shift, a part-time 24-hour-per-week role (12-hour shifts: 7:00am–7:30pm).

The RN must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold Michigan RN licensure, and have 6–12 months of psychiatric nursing experience; CPR/Handle With Care certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Michigan.
• 6–12 months of Psych Nursing preferred.
• CPR/Handle With Care certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a warm and welcoming environment and provides training and support to other RNs.
• Acts as back-up point of contact when Charge is unavailable.
• Provides leadership in crisis behavioral management.
• Develops initial nursing treatment plans using the nursing process for admitted patients.
• Assesses and delivers care for patients with co-occurring, eating, and trauma-related disorders.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic milieu with the team and participates in discharge planning.
