Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking a Psychiatric RN for our long-term care program in Ohio. The full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm, with no weekend shifts. Responsibilities include health screenings, medication administration, and coordination of community services. Travel within the service area is expected.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an RN license and psychiatric or behavioral health experience. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• Experience in psychiatric/behavioral health is preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned service area.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
