Job summary
ViaQuest is seeking a Psychiatric Registered Nurse for long-term care assignments in Willoughby, OH. This full-time, Monday–Friday (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) role has no weekend shifts and serves a broad local area.
You will provide psychiatric and behavioral health nursing services, perform screenings, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. A current RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing program are required; experience in behavioral health and willingness
Qualifications
- RN license required.
- Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services preferred.
- Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
Responsibilities
- Address behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
- Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
- Administer injections and other medications as needed.
- Monitor and administer medications.
- Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
- Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
- Coordinate community services and case management duties.
- Help clients develop skills in emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
