Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out‑patient and ECT services for adults.

Must be available to work a Full Time schedule and attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M-F 8 AM - 5 PM / Week 2: M & T 9 AM - 5 PM

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. We are currently seeking Full time - Registered Nurses!

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors. Direct milieu management.
• Provide assessment of patients' psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient's response to treatment.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and chemical dependency disorders and apply/utilize appropriate treatment interventions.
