Job summary

Universal Health Services in Orlando, FL seeks a full-time Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care for psychiatric patients across age groups, including milieu management and crisis intervention. The role involves assessing needs, planning and evaluating care, and administering medications under physician orders.

Responsibilities include leading nursing staff, documenting care, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team. Day shift hours are 7 AM to 7 PM with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass Level 2 Background Investigation.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree) required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida required.
• Minimum of one year related experience; psychiatric nursing preferred.
• Current CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians, and counselors.
• Provide assessment of patients’ psychiatric and medical status.
• Contribute to treatment plan as a member of interdisciplinary team.
• Document nursing care, treatment, and patient’s response to treatment
• Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health disorders and apply appropriate treatment interventions.

Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; and partial hospitalization, intensive out-patient and ECT services for adults.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse will provide nursing care for psychiatric patients, including child, adolescent, geriatric and chemical dependency patients using the nursing process. Duties include: assess mental health needs, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; to ensure safety and provide milieu management and crisis intervention strategies. We are currently seeking Full time - Registered Nurses!
