Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a part-time RN for the Psych Acute Adult unit. The position offers night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.

You will assess patients, administer medications, educate families, and participate in crisis intervention and rehab planning. Requirements include an active Illinois RN license and BLS, knowledge of behavioral health care, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid State RN license.
• Active BLS certification at hire and maintaining it.
• Knowledge of mental health laws and behavioral health standards.
• Experience with inpatient/outpatient behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients, educate about mental and medical conditions, and provide emotional support.
• Run therapeutic groups and participate in psychiatric crisis intervention.
• Document medical histories, assist with diagnostics and treatments, and operate medical equipment.
• Coordinate follow-up, rehabilitation, and patient self-management education.
