Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL is seeking a Mental Health Worker Inpatient for the Psych Child/Adolescent/ Behavioral Health unit. Under the supervision of an RN, you will assist with activities of daily living, document care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors and staff.

This full-time night shift (7pm–7:30am, 12-hour shifts) offers a sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package as part of Mercy Medical Center's Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant license issued by the State; if not CNA, at least 1 year mental health worker experience in a hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed nursing staff in providing and documenting patient care, including activities of daily living.
• Support unit functions and maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors and staff; communicate pertinent patient information to the supervising RN.
• Perform some clerical duties and provide basic nursing care for adults and geriatric patients.
