Job summary

Community Counseling Center in Missouri is seeking a Full Time PSR Specialist to deliver rehabilitative services including community living skills training, recreation/socialization, pre-vocational development, and family supportive education. Work hours are Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with occasional evenings as needed.

You will screen referrals, develop individualized treatment plans, transport clients, and provide daily living skills instruction, crisis intervention, and thorough

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have MO Class E driver’s license and valid auto insurance; travel required.
• Experience delivering services to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Screen referrals to assess appropriateness for PSR services.
• Develop client’s individualized treatment plan.
• Provide transportation to and from community facilities and resources.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward the agency and clientele.
• Provide daily living skills training (nutrition, budgeting, home management, accessing resources).
• Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
• Monitor and assist client with program compliance.
• Transport clients in agency or personal vehicle as required.
• Document according to clinical policies and procedures.

Job description

Full Time: Non - Exempt

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm, Some evenings may be required as necessary dependent upon agency and client need.

Pay Range: $20.00 - $22.40 per hour

Note: Pay will vary dependent upon prior experience.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher from accredited university; or
• Any four-year combination of higher education and qualifying experience; or
• Four years of qualifying experience.
• Valid Drivers License - Must hold or obtain by start date, MO Class E Driver's License (Class D for IL Residents) and current auto insurance.
• Travel in own vehicle is required.

Note: Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, or developmental disabilities.

Job Summary: Responsible for the delivery of rehabilitative services including community living skills training, recreation/socialization services, pre-vocational skills development, client and family supportive and educational assistance.

Job Duties:

• Participate in initial screening to evaluate appropriateness of clients referred for PSR services.
• Participate in development of client's individual treatment plan.
• Provide transportation to and from community facilities and resources.
• Maintain positive attitude toward agency and clientele.
• Provide daily living skills training including assistance in nutrition, financial and home management, accessing community resources, recreation, pre-vocational services, development of support systems, diagnosis and medication management, etc.
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients enrolled in PSR services as needed.
• Monitor and assist client with program compliance.
• Responsible for transporting clients in agency and/or personal vehicle as deemed necessary and appropriate to meet program requirements.
• Document according to clinical policies and procedure, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.
