This is a time limited position. This position is located at the PSP Division, PEARL, MS, in RANKIN COUNTY.This Accountant II will be an integral part of the finance team, responsible for managing a diverse range of accounting tasks. The role includes handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel expenses, and grant accounting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 2-4 years of experience and/or appropriate certification. Agency Preferred Qualifications: The agency requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and a minimum of 2 - 4 years of accounting experience; proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; strong understanding of GAAP; and excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
