PSM Engineer — Process Safety & Risk Management Leader

Job summary

H.B. Fuller is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead risk reduction initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities handling flammable materials in the United States.

You will serve as the primary technical resource for OSHA PSM and EPA RMP compliance, partnering with EHS, Operations, and Engineering teams to drive safe and reliable operations. You will conduct PHAs, MOC, incident investigations, and support audits, training, and process safety program execution across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Safety, or related Engineering field.
• 5+ years of process safety experience in chemical or industrial manufacturing.
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM and EPA Risk Management Program requirements.
• Experience leading PHAs, MOCs, incident investigations, and compliance audits.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead PHAs for new and existing processes.
• Facilitate Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews.
• Identify, design, and implement process safety engineering controls.
• Support OSHA PSM and EPA RMP program compliance activities.
• Conduct incident investigations and manage corrective actions.
• Support mechanical integrity and preventive maintenance programs.
• Maintain process safety information and system documentation.
• Track safety metrics and support compliance audits and training.
