Job summary

Partners Personnel - Santa Barbara is seeking a Process Safety Engineer to lead and strengthen process safety initiatives across our manufacturing operations. You will drive PSM programs, collaborate with engineering teams, and mentor frontline staff to reduce risk and improve safety performance.

The role requires handling MOC and audit actions, delivering safety training, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement across facilities. Travel to company sites as needed is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Agricultural or related field.
• 2+ years of process safety experience in manufacturing or chemical processing.
• Knowledge of the 14 elements of PSM and risk-based safety principles.
• Strong change management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee site-level Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Monitor, analyze, and report process safety performance metrics.
• Coordinate and participate in process safety and PSM audits.
• Drive timely resolution of audit findings and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with MOC procedures and standards.
• Review, approve, and support MOC requests across operations.
• Deliver process safety training to plant leadership and operational teams.
• Facilitate risk assessments, hazard analyses, and incident investigations.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
