Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Process Safety Engineer in Florida to lead PSM and RMP initiatives at a chemical manufacturing facility. You will partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, environmental and EHS teams to strengthen process safety and reduce risk.

The role requires experience with PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, MOC/MI and PSI, plus strong communication and training skills. A bachelor’s in a related engineering field and professional certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or related engineering field.
• Experience with OSHA PSM and EPA RMP regulations.
• Experience leading PHAs, HAZOPs, LO-PA analyses and risk assessments.
• Knowledge of MOC, MI, PSI, and incident investigation programs.
• Strong communication and cross‑functional leadership skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and process safety software (PHA-Pro).

Responsibilities

• Lead PHAs, revalidations, and LO/PA analyses using HAZOP/What-If/Checklist methods.
• Support OSHA PSM and EPA RMP implementation and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate process safety activities across operations, maintenance, engineering and EHS.
• Evaluate hazards for new products, equipment, and process changes.
• Identify risk reduction opportunities and implement safeguards.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Support process safety audits, regulatory assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Drive closure of process safety recommendations and provide training.
