Job summary

Hitachi Rail in Honolulu, Hawaii, seeks a PSG Technician to maintain Platform Screen Gates on the Honolulu Rail Project. The role requires hands-on electrical/mechanical maintenance, safety compliance, and availability for shift rotations including weekends and holidays.

You will document maintenance and testing, use electrical test equipment and schematics, and support substation diagnostics as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in electronic equipment maintenance.
• Ability to use common and specialized tools and test equipment.
• Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out safety procedures and traffic protection rules.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
• Must have a valid US state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and unscheduled maintenance on PSG equipment following manuals and diagrams.
• Observe PSG components in operation to detect failures and locate causes of malfunctions.
• Respond to PSG malfunctions and complete repairs using required tools and equipment.
• Complete operational, equipment failure, safety, and other reports.
• Follow safety rules and operating procedures; participate in training as required.
• Work shift rotations including weekends and holidays typical of major infrastructure projects.
