Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a motivated Track Repair Technician for the Honolulu Rail Project, based in Pearl City, HI. You will perform preventive and corrective track maintenance, operate maintenance vehicles, and contribute to safety-critical tasks on a major transit project.

Responsibilities include welding, ultrasonic testing, data collection, and ensuring documentation accuracy. A high school diploma and English proficiency are required, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with track maintenance and repair activities.
• Ability to read and follow procedures and work instructions.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of track, switch machines, and third rail systems.
• Conduct daily track sweeps and inspections to identify defects.
• Operate OTE equipment and track maintenance vehicles per training.
• Perform welding, grinding, and related tasks per qualifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS and ensure safety policy adherence.
