Job summary

Hitachi Rail in Honolulu is seeking a Track Repair Technician to maintain track, switches and third rail systems for the Honolulu Rail Project. The role is based in Pearl City, HI, and requires performing preventive and corrective maintenance, welding and track inspections on a major infrastructure project.

You will document maintenance activities with a CMMS, support safety procedures, and may work weekends or holidays as needed to meet project availability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• English proficiency required.
• Experience with track maintenance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of the track, switch machines and third rail systems including the renewal, repair and replacement of worn or damaged components in compliance with approved maintenance procedures and work instructions
• Perform daily track sweeps/walk-throughs, section by section, to visually check for track and third rail and related infrastructure defects
• Maintain and produce accurate maintenance records of track, third rail and related infrastructure, equipment performance, work accomplished, and other information using a computerized maintenance management system
