Job description

Job Responsibilities
  • Assess patients, clients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex, recognizing normal parameters, deviations and abnormalities in physical, emotional, developmental and behavioral status based on cardio‑pulmonary health.
  • Collect clinical data and utilize decision trees and guidelines to guide sleep‑study testing and analysis.
  • Document routine observations, procedural changes and significant events; provide real‑time comments and narrative notes to support scoring and interpretation of polysomnography results.
  • Establish and document baseline values (e.g., body position, oxyhemoglobin saturation, end‑tidal CO₂, respiratory and heart rates).
  • Synthesize and interpret multiple sources of data, anticipate problems, seek interdisciplinary collaboration and respond to clinical situations.
  • Lead efforts to improve documentation of care plans and delivery, integrating age‑specific concepts and collaborating with all health‑care providers.
  • Modify and develop patient and family education programs, evaluate understanding through observed behavior change, and create comprehensive education plans.
  • Negotiate and navigate system processes to support optimal patient outcomes, including regulatory compliance and safety policies.
  • Serve as a point of contact for workload monitoring, workflow and respiratory‑care staffing levels.
  • Advocate for patients and families, incorporating patient values, encouraging self‑representation and safeguarding rights.
  • Demonstrate competence in sleep/respiratory care skills, problem‑solving, critical thinking and priority setting.
  • Pursue professional growth and meet educational needs.
Job Qualifications

Schedule: Full time, Night shift (United States of America)

Department: Liberty Sleep Study
