Holtec International is seeking an experienced PSA engineer to lead the development of PSA models and thermal‑hydraulic analyses for risk‑informed design and licensing. You will build Level 1 and Level 2 PRA models for various scenarios, and perform RELAP5‑3D/MELCOR simulations to assess core and containment responses.

You will also create event/fault trees to evaluate metrics like CDF and LRF, maintain models as designs evolve, and support regulatory interactions and design decisions across

Formación

• 6–10 years of experience in PSA and/or thermal‑hydraulic safety analysis in nuclear industry.
• Strong understanding of light water reactor (LWR) thermal‑hydraulic behavior.
• Familiar with PSA regulatory frameworks and ASME/ANS PRA standards.
• Experience with external hazards (fire, flood, seismic) or low power/shutdown analysis preferred.
• Knowledge of PSA modeling tools and reporting/documentation standards.

Responsabilidades

• Lead development of PSA models and supporting thermal‑hydraulic analyses for risk‑informed design and licensing.
• Develop Level 1 and Level 2 PRA models for internal and external events across full power and shutdown.
• Perform thermal‑hydraulic modeling (RELAP5‑3D, MELCOR) to simulate core and containment response.
• Develop and quantify event trees and fault trees to evaluate CDF and LRF.
• Maintain PSA models as SMR‑300 design evolves and support licensing activities.
