The University of Utah is seeking a PS Study Coordinator III to support the Emergency Medicine Contracts department in coordinating research studies on campus. The role involves coordinating technical and administrative aspects, assisting PIs and sponsors, and ensuring protocol implementation aligns with study milestones.
A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and several years of related experience are required.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associatedvaccination requirements, or be approved for an exemption, prior tothe first day of work. Coordinate technical and administrative details of researchstudies, supporting Principal Investigators in implementingprotocols and procedures. Assess protocol clarity and criteria, andaddress concerns with the PI and sponsor. Participate in meetingsto advise on assignments and timelines. Obtain necessarydocumentation and maintain accurate records. Coordinate facilityand equipment availability as required. Report adverse events anddocument deviations as necessary. Assist with data management,including completing, auditing, and correcting records. Supportbudget negotiations and maintain documentation per regulatoryguidelines. Manage documents and ensure proper specimen handling.Perform additional research support tasks as needed.
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher educationcan be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience(Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related workexperience).
Study Coordinator, III: Requires a bachelor's (orequivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years ofdirectly related work experience.
