Job summary

West Virginia University is seeking a PRT Systems Operator for the Transportation & Parking team in Morgantown. You will manage the Central Control Room for the PRT network, ensuring safe, reliable service for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities include monitoring CBTC/SCADA, CCTV and APIS, coordinating maintenance, and handling power control. The role requires shift work, including weekends, as it is a safety-critical position.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience in transit systems operations or computer system operations beneficial.
• Familiarity with CBTC, SCADA, APIS, and CCTV is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CBTC/SCADA system to safely run WVU's PRT network and control guideway access.
• Coordinate with maintenance staff and manage power applications during anomalies.
• Maintain operation logs and generate system reports; support passenger safety and information systems.
