Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Referral Coordinator for Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, NM. You will manage referrals from referring providers, coordinate scheduling for procedures, and ensure timely communication with providers and patients.

The role requires medical office experience, prior authorization knowledge, and EPIC competency. It is a full-time, dayshift position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience in a medical office setting with significant MD interaction.
• Proficiency in prior authorization/certification/referral process.
• Must pass EPIC competency for Registration at completion of Epic Clerical Training class.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skill sets; significant customer service skill set.

Responsibilities

• Achieve exceptional experience for providers and referring offices by using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.
• Ensure all communications with providers and patients occur in a timely manner.
• Communicate with referring providers and their offices to schedule referrals, answer questions, and arrange provider-to-provider communication as needed.
• Address and resolve concerns and requests using available resources and escalations.
• Coordinate with program departments to gain access for referrals.
• Follow up with referring providers to update on referral status.
• Maintain knowledge of program operations and processes to guide referring providers and answer questions about referrals.
• Coordinate with Business Development to collect feedback from referring offices.
