Job summary

The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey is seeking a diligent office professional in Toms River, NJ. You will support licensing, registration, and inspection activities for family child care providers in compliance with state policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating trainings, managing registrations, conducting inspections, processing payments, and maintaining accurate documentation in NJCCIS and related systems. Travel is required for field visits and meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate degree or related training preferred.
• 2–3 years of proven experience in a professional office environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong administrative and clerical skills.
• Must have a car and valid driver's license; travel required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mandatory CCDBG Orientation training to prospective family child care providers and family, friend, and neighbor providers.
• Manage FCC Registration process per Manual of Requirements for Family Child Care.
• Manage Approved Home process per DFD policy.
• Perform all home inspections for FCC, initial and renewal.
• Perform home inspections for Family, Friend and Neighbor providers, initial and annual re-inspection.
• Record all FCC registration and renewal payments.
• Review and understand all inspection forms for FCC and FFN inspections.
• Perform all FCC and FFN program observations.
