Job summary

Northwest Permanente is seeking a Provider Data Management Specialist 2 (Hybrid) to maintain accurate provider and practitioner data across contracting, credentialing, and directory systems in the Portland area.

In this role you will analyze data, apply business rules, validate data through verification platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and data integrity for regulatory reporting and network operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in data management or data analytics.
• 3+ years of experience managing provider demographic data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with data quality management, regulatory requirements, and provider contracting processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, validate, and maintain provider data to support contracting and credentialing.
• Apply critical thinking to ensure accurate data configuration in source and downstream systems.
• Proactively outreach to providers to obtain and validate data per rules and turnaround times.
• Document and resolve provider data discrepancies while educating providers.
• Validate data through verification platforms and internal controls for compliance.
• Contribute to data reconciliation and remediation projects.
• Research and resolve claims issues related to provider demographic data.
