Job summary

The Jackson Clinic, PA is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator to work with providers in-office to enhance coding specificity, documentation, and reimbursement. You will round with providers, review charts and charging data, and tailor education materials in partnership with the billing office.

Responsibilities include delivering targeted education, analyzing outcomes data, and reporting findings to leadership. The role emphasizes strong customer service and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Two years of billing, coding, charge entry, or clinical documentation improvement experience in a medical practice.
• Multispecialty coding experience is a plus.
• Coding Certification (CPC) preferred.
• Experience delivering provider-facing education is a plus.
• Strong understanding of coding guidelines and documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Rounds regularly with providers, in office, to review documentation and identify coding, specificity, and reimbursement opportunities in real time.
• Provides direct, one-on-one and small-group education to providers on documentation requirements, coding guidelines, and specificity to support accurate, compliant, and well-reimbursed billing.
• Coordinates with the clinic's third-party billing office to obtain education material and tailors it to individual providers or specialties.
• Monitors and reports on documentation deficiencies, missing or late charges, and provider trends to target education needs.
• Performs routine documentation and charge reviews and identifies encounters needing additional review or provider follow-up.
• Audits and analyzes patient care data following Medicare criteria and assists with the 360 review process.
