Job summary

Medix is seeking a Provider Assistant - Medical Assistant / EMT in Chanhassen, MN. The role supports patient care with EPIC experience, patient assessments, medication administration, and procedural support in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Responsibilities include escorting patients, administering medications, performing procedures (EKG, bladder scans), and ensuring complete rooming and documentation. Multiple shifts from part-time to full-time are available with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• MN EMT license or paramedic certification.
• BLS from AHA or Red Cross.
• Experience with EPIC and patient assessments.
• Ability to document vital signs and assist in immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document vital information (height, weight, blood pressure).
• Assist in preparation and administration of medications and immunizations as instructed.
• Perform and support clinical procedures and treatments (ear lavage, EKGs, bladder scans).
• Complete rooming steps: medication reconciliation, allergies, immunization records, pending refills, forms and questionnaires.
• Adhere to laws, regulations, policies, and standards to ensure compliance.

Salary: USD20 - USD27 per hour + Medical, Dental, Vision

Title:Provider Assistant -Medical Assistant / EMT

Position Summary: One of several exciting opportunities currently available, this role is ideal for a compassionate, detail-oriented healthcare professional who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Experience with EPIC, patient assessments, medication administration, and procedural support is highly valued. In this position, you'll play a key role in supporting positive patient outcomes while working within established clinical standards and best practices in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Pay: 20-27/hr, based on experience (weekly pay + Benefits)
Day to Day:

• Escorting patients to exam rooms and accurately documenting vital information such as height, weight, and blood pressure.
• Assisting in the preparation and administration of medications and immunizations as instructed by a clinician, RN, or standing orders.
• Performing and supporting clinical procedures and treatments, including ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans, under the direction of a clinician.
• Ensuring all necessary steps in the rooming process are completed, including medication reconciliation, reviewing allergies, managing immunization records, addressing pending refills, and completing required forms and questionnaires to support clinical quality.
• Staying informed of and adhering to all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and standards to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

• OREMT in the state of MN
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or Red Cross
