Job summary

HireArt is helping an on-demand ride-hailing company in Foster City, CA find a Quality Engineer, Prototyping to ensure vehicle assembly, bring-up, and End-of-Line testing meet high-quality standards.

You’ll develop inline and end-of-line quality checks, perform root-cause analysis, and drive PFMEAs and control plans. The role requires 4+ years in quality or manufacturing, GD&T knowledge, and the ability to work independently with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• 4+ years in quality or manufacturing.
• Experience with quality management system practices.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience creating FMEAs and control plans.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate inline and end-of-line quality checks.
• Perform root cause analysis for assembly issues.
• Develop and optimize End-of-Line processes.
• Create and maintain PFMEAs and control plans.
• Analyze quality data to improve processes.
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Contribute to quality policies and procedures.
• Align procedures with IATF 16949 and ISO 9000.
• Review Jira tickets for data accuracy.
• Maintain inspection reports and balloon drawings.
• Follow nonconformance processes.
• Maintain dashboards and weekly reports.
