Job summary

IEM is seeking a Material Control Technician to join our prototyping team in Tualatin, OR. The role focuses on inventory control, material management, and replenishment to ensure material availability for job orders.

The candidate will handle storage, cycle counts, kit preparation, and data updates while maintaining safe, organized workspaces. Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in warehouse/material control, ERP experience, forklift certification, and lean manufacturing familiarity.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of warehouse or material control experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2–3 years of ERP and Order Management experience.
• Forklift certified.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide material support for Production Schedules.
• Validate availability of parts for work orders.
• Receive and inspect incoming parts.
• Prepare workorder kits.
• Perform cycle counts and count parts.
• Keep storage locations organized and neat.
• Maintain visual controls.
• Manage inventory using lean principles.
• Use forklift to store heavy materials.
• Participate in process improvement activities.
• Escalate problems and communicate progress.
• Accurately transact data and update dashboards.
• Train and support others.
• Perform other duties as required.
