Job summary

Skydio, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Hardware Technician to support rapid prototyping across multiple engineering spaces. You will operate and maintain SLA and FDM printers, fabricate parts, assemble hardware, and help keep labs organized in a fast-paced environment.

You will move between labs and collaborate with engineers, identifying high-priority tasks and ensuring reliable lab infrastructure and tooling for the development of autonomous flight systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with 3D printing, machine operation, and material handling.
• Experience with shop tools and basic fabrication equipment.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, including rotor drones or similar systems.
• Experience setting up or improving lab environments.
• Comfortable working on your feet and moving between tasks.
• Familiarity with lab operations and consumables management.
• Experience with CAD tools such as Fusion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain 3D printers and handle materials.
• Fabricate parts for rapid prototyping using shop tools.
• Perform mechanical assembly of drone hardware.
• Install and maintain lab infrastructure and testing equipment.
• Keep shared lab spaces organized and functional.
• Move between labs to support engineering teams.
• Identify and execute high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment.
