Job summary

American Rheinmetall is seeking an experienced Prototype Center Assembly Technician to support the AR engineering team by performing vehicle assembly tasks on prototype vehicles and systems to meet schedule, budget and quality expectations. This role focuses on assembling combat vehicle prototypes with attention to detail and safety.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine and heavy vehicle assembly experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings.
• Proficient with hand/power tools and standard shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble combat vehicle prototypes and systems to meet schedule and quality targets.
• Perform heavy assembly of major vehicle systems (chassis, turret, weapon, armor, drive, power pack).
• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions to guide assembly tasks.
• Utilize hand and power tools, torque wrenches, magnetic drills, grinders.
• Maintain safety and adapt to changes or rework as needed.
• Provide input on design and assembly improvements.
