Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company, based in Racine, Wisconsin, seeks a technically skilled technician to create, modify, and test components for Thermal Management Systems. The role emphasizes wiring harness work, fixture design, and data-driven testing in a hands-on environment.

You will modify prototype components, perform calibration, and train colleagues while ensuring safety and compliance. On-site presence required with occasional plant/vendor visits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3+ years of technical experience required.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Welding with GMAW or GTAW; aluminum and stainless steel welding preferred.
• Experience with machining and metal forming.
• Proficient with Excel and Word for calculations and reports.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic operations; EPA refrigerant handling preferred.
• Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Modify existing product assemblies for testing and prototype supply.
• Create wiring harness assemblies from supplied schematics.
• Configure test setups and document data; build fixtures as needed.
• Perform testing per work order and engineer instructions.
• Record data and generate test reports for external review.
• Maintain calibration and assist with measurement system checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair test equipment; document changes.
• Train others in test equipment and methods as directed.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance; keep area clean.
